Do You Really Want Deliverance?

If the Lord told you that he had the BEST opportunity for you, something FAR beyond what you could dream up, and all you had to do was surrender your plans to him, would you do it?  You'll likely give an animated, "YEH, of course I would!" Then ask yourself, "Are you willing to fully surrender to the Lord, if it means going into lack?" You'll still probably say something like, "Sure, I'll suffer for Christ." Now ask yourself, "Are you willing to fully surrender to the point of quitting your job, selling your home, donating all of your belongings and not knowing where you'll live?"

Whoa, floor the brakes! I wanna be free and all, but I don't know about this quitting my job and not having a house bit. You can relax. Giving up your life and all the areas of it usually entails sacrifice, but not everyone is required to endure such severity. It depends on what you're called to and the level of preparation necessary for you. If you want to be comfortable and let God gradually heal you because you think it’s “easier”, He'll sometimes do that. He loves you and He knows what level of faith you're willing to activate. He can still perform miracle transformations in your life, but why would you want complete freedom, restoration, and joy to take so long? He absolutely has the patience to deliver you piece by piece, over long periods of time. He will meet you at your level of faith, "according to your faith be it unto you". However, to him, the growth of your faith will always be more important than your job, your families, and your material possessions. He cares most about your heart.

YOU'RE IN PERFECT POSITION
The Lord has already told you what he wants from you. He's been telling you for a while and he's been confirming it in multiple ways. Perhaps he's told you to change churches or maybe he's told you to sell your business. Out of fear, you've continually refused. Instead, you've stayed at your current church home or you've sold your business but built two in it's place because you were scared you wouldn't be able to pay the bills. When events like this happen, you're in the perfect position to either work your butt off to keep getting what you want, or say, “You know what Lord, I'm done, take it!

Samson disobeyed, and finally said yes at the end of his life; when he was trapped between two pillars and blind because his eyes were gauged out! This isn't to scare you. It's to encourage you in the Lord, to say yes and let him have his way NOW. Would you rather suffer the rest of your life and maybe enjoy the fullness of God's best for you at the end, or endure hardship for a shorter time now and enjoy the fullness of God's best THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?
