Within the last week, the Lord revealed my role in the body of
Christ, as well as my redemptive gift. Despite those roles and gifts, the Lord speaks
to me often (as he does with all of his children who will listen), but one of
the most predominant ways he speaks to me is in visions. I’ve actually had this
gift since I was a child (Redemptive gifts are a birthright, even for non-believers),
but I just didn’t know what it was back then. Having been reading about the
redemptive gifts; what they mean and how they define so much of why we are the
way we are, it’s all beginning to make sense. What’s awesome is that I’m not
the only one to have these dreams, visions and words from the Lord. You know who else had them?...
Joseph: In Genesis, Joseph had a
dream that his dad and brothers would bow down to him. When he told them about
it, they hated him. They were like, “You think you’re gonna reign and be ruler
over us?” They were jealous of him, thought he was ridiculous and his dad
actually rebuked him. They mocked him saying, “Here comes that dreamer”, sold
him and even plotted to kill him! Then look what happened; Joseph had become
governor over the entire land of Canaan, which was in great famine. When Joseph’s brothers and dad needed food,
guess what they ended up doing…FACE PLANT on the ground, bowing to him,
just like in the dream!
Noah: Noah was told to build a giant
boat because a flood was coming that would destroy the land. No one even know
what rain was and everyone thought he was crazy. Noah had to ignore the voices
of everyone else and trust the voice of the Lord. We all know what happened
there. I bet his family was pretty happy to be on that boat after all!
Stories like this all over the bible of Apostles
and Prophets having dreams and seeing visions, all which came true. This isn’t
a joke. When the Lord wants you to know something, he knows how to tell you or
show you. And when he does, trust that it’s not your own imagination or you
just making things up. It IS from God and it IS real!
