You Can't Wave a Debit Card at Satan

As single believers, the Lord is your provider. Once you’re married, the Lord doesn't just hand that responsibility over. The Lord is still your provider, for both of you. How many single women have you heard want their independence, yet what they want in a husband is someone who works hard and is a good provider? The more money he makes, the better off they think they'll be…

As “politically correct” as that sounds, what happens when Satan attempts to attack your mind? What will you do when Satan attempts to lie to you, steal from you, or even worse, destroy your marriage?  Will you look Satan dead in the face and flash him your money? You can’t wave a debit card at Satan. Well you could, but he’d just laugh at you. Material things can’t and won’t stop the devil from his attempts to attack you, nor will they ward off those attacks. Both men and women should know that it doesn't matter what kind of job you have, how much money you make, how big your house is, how fancy your car is, what your job title is or what your cultural corporate lineage is. None of that matters in the spirit realm.

Adam didn't fail to provide food, clothing and shelter for Eve; the Lord already provided those things for both of them. Adam and Eve were created on day 6, AFTER all of their provisions. What Adam failed to provide for Eve was protection from Satan. He wasn’t there when his wife was talking to the serpent. He wasn’t covering her; praying for her to be protected from Satan’s lies. At logical glance, it was Eve’s fault for the fall of man, but it was Adam’s responsibility to cover her.

With the divine order of submission being God, man then wife, the 2nd most important relationship you will ever have is the one with your spouse. It is the man’s responsibility to cover his wife, pray for her, especially when he doesn't want to or is upset. The moment you come out of that divine order, Satan says, “Ohhh yeh!” and swoops in for the kill! At least he tries to, but he’ll be unsuccessful if you put the Lord first and not your “work”.
