There is No Power in Saying the Name of Jesus

Read that title carefully; there is no power in saying the name of Jesus. There is power in His name, but not in simply saying it. The authority does not come from verbal expression, but from having it inside of you and wielding it! This is why right believing is vital to your victory.

Firstly; you must be saved with the spirit of God within you. If you've not received Christ, you have no life, no love, no power, no authority, no dominion, no freedom, no healing, no victory, no nothing. But it goes even deeper than that; if you do have the spirit of God inside you then your battle is to BELIEVE rightly or you also won't have victory. Many in the body of Christ say, "In Jesus' name" all the time, but their lives are visibly not victorious.

In scripture, when someone said "In the name of Jesus"; the thing they commanded was always manifested because of the faith behind it. In the Concordance, biblical translations and definitions for "in" revolve around the heart; position, relation of rest, unto, towards, and for God. One example listed is if you saw a poster saying "Jesse James wanted for robbery", "for" could mean Jesse is wanted so he can commit a robbery, or is wanted because he has committed a robbery. The later sense is the correct one; Jesus has already done it all, but we need to believe that.

Satan and his demons even said "Jesus". The seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19 tried to use the name of Jesus and epically failed! The demons knew full well they had no authority and they mocked the guys. The demon itself said Jesus and still proceeded to overtake two of the sons until they were a wounded mess!

It is not the name itself that holds the power; but it's the presence of Christ and authority that causes demons to flee. If you're saved, the spirit of God and everything that comes with Him is there; but if you don't believe it...the demons will know.
